Welcome to DÓTTIR
Icelandic for “daughter” is a cultural and community space by and for women* and girls.
DÓTTIR is your space to breathe, reflect, and connect, whether through conversations over coffee, quiet reading, or focused work. Every artwork on the walls and every product in the store is by women*. You can also visit or host workshops, readings, events, and more.
More than a social club, DÓTTIR is a love letter to safe spaces and female creativity.
why DÓTTIR?
DÓTTIR is the space women* individuals deserve.
a place to simply exist, unfold, and be unapologetically ourselves.
Cities weren’t built for our safety or freedom.
We take detours, shrink ourselves, stay quiet, just to feel a little safer.
That needs to change. We need spaces where we don’t have to hold back.
Where we can expand, take up space, and celebrate who we are.
DÓTTIR is that space: raw, bold, and made for us.
And to the men: This one’s not for you.
We’re here to ruffle feathers, because we deserve to be wild and free.

At DÓTTIR, it’s not just about drinking coffee or hanging out, it’s about thinking, feeling, discussing, and celebrating. We regularly host readings with inspiring female authors, creative workshops, cozy book clubs, thought-provoking talks, art exhibitions and more by women* for women*.
